Petri Vase in Olive
Our Microbe Collection is inspired by the unique galaxy of microorganisms living within each of us. We created a technique for dying and stippling each vase that evokes the nature of microbes as they grow and colonize.
Each vase is hand-cast with hydrocal plaster inside of a unique balloon shape. The interior of each piece is poured with layers of resin, making it waterproof. Finally, each vase is hand-dyed with custom mixed pigments and given a unique pattern of dyed plaster protuberances in an endless array of color combinations. The exterior of each vase is sealed with a UV resistant acrylic coating.
This rich Olive base comes with 5 signature dot colors or a custom palette upon request. Please see our tearsheet below for color way examples and fill out our quote request form.
These vases are all handmade and will vary slightly in shape, size, color and pattern.
