Our new Hydro Vases take on a futuristic appearance as the signature saturated veining runs across a new muted background. With this new palette we began to imagine the possibility of otherworldly landscapes and waterways as seen from above. Inspired by the bold colors of our Hydro Collection and the muted tones of our Landscape Collection we have named all of our new Hydro Vases after the many moons of Saturn.
Each vessel is hand-cast with hydrocal plaster inside of a unique balloon shape. The interior of each piece is poured with layers of resin, making it waterproof. We have developed a unique process for pigmenting the exterior of the vases that is based on the technique used for marbling paper. Each vessel is sealed with a UV resistant acrylic coating.
Much like the satellites that inspire them, the pattern on each piece is unique.
