MetaMATERIAL

Our MetaMATERIAL is a solid composite resin that is uniquely cast in multiple iterations allowing for a wide variety of form and application.

Each piece is composed of a hand-pigmented palette of resin, that is cast, cut and then seamlessly re-cast in several layers.

Once the material has reached a desired thickness, it is shaped, assembled, and hand-polished to reveal hidden layers of color and unexpected graphic patterns.

Due to the nature of our casting process, our MetaMATERIAL will accrue a “grain” as it ages, this will appear as subtle undulations throughout the patterns.

Our resin is UV and climate sensitive, to ensure the longevity of the material please avoid putting in direct sunlight or in direct contact with extreme hot or cold temperatures.

MetaMIRRORS

Wipe your MetaMATERIAL clean with a soft cloth and avoid using any chemical cleaners. 

If the resin becomes dry or scratched, we recommend using Novus PC-10, a safe and inexpensive polish or mineral oil on a soft cloth for reconditioning.

Glass or mirror can be wiped clean using glass cleaner and a soft clean cloth. Please avoid getting glass cleaner on the resin as it may dry out the resin.

If this does occur please refer to the previous directions for reconditioning.

MetaMATERIAL COUNTERTOP

Wipe your MetaMATERIAL clean with mild soap and water on a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid using any abrasive chemical cleaners on the material. 

If the resin becomes dry or scratched, we recommend conditioning the resin with mineral oil on a soft cloth then removing any excess oil with mild soap and water.

To remove stains or scuffs we recommend using a Magic Eraser.

MetaMATERIAL FURNITURE

Wipe your MetaMATERIAL clean with a soft cloth and avoid using any abrasive chemical cleaners on the material. 

If the resin becomes dry or scratched, we recommend conditioning the resin with mineral oil on a soft cloth then removing any excess oil with mild soap and water.

We recommend using a Magic Eraser to remove any stains.

If your piece contains glass, it can be wiped clean using glass cleaner and a soft clean cloth. Please avoid getting glass cleaner on the resin as it may dry it out.

If this does occur please refer to the previous directions for reconditioning.

Black Magic Vessels

Each resin vessel is composed of a completely unique palette of pigmented resin. The resin is poured into a mold, layer by layer, building the piece from the outside in.

Once a piece has reached a desired thickness, it is carved, sanded, and hand-polished to reveal hidden layers of color and unexpected graphic patterns.

Wipe your Black Magic Vessel clean with a soft cloth and avoid using any abrasive chemical cleaners on the material. 

If the resin becomes dry or scratched, we recommend using Novus PC-10, a safe and inexpensive polish or mineral oil on a soft cloth to recondition the resin.

Our Black Magic Vessels can be cleaned with mild soap and water then dried with a clean cloth.

Drip Vessels — Landscape, Microbe, and Hydro Collections

The Drip Vessels are all hand-cast inside of unique balloon shapes using plaster and then hand dyed in custom-mixed pigments.

The interior of each vase is coated in several layers of resin, making it waterproof. The exterior is sealed with an acrylic coating.

We recommend using a funnel to pour water into some of the smaller-necked vases.

To clean the interior, carefully fill with water using a funnel then swirl and empty. Dry any water spills on the exterior with a soft clean cloth. Allow to air dry.

To clean exterior, gently wipe with a soft cloth.

TABLE LAMPS — Landscape, Microbe, and Hydro Collections

The Table Lamp bases are all hand-cast inside of unique balloon shapes using plaster and then hand dyed in custom-mixed pigments.

The interior of each base is coated in several layers of resin, impregnating the plaster to make it stronger. The exterior is sealed with an acrylic coating.

Our shades are made by hand using a heavyweight cotton rag paper and attached to a nickel-plated swivel fixture with a turn switch.

To clean, gently wipe with a soft cloth or feather duster.
